Where will you find MSWs?
More than 8,000 alumni from the IU School of Social Work are working in local, national and international organizations. Many social workers specialize in serving a particular population or working in a specific setting. In Indiana, the vast majority of mental health counseling services are provided by MSWs. You can find MSWs in a wide variety of service areas:
Career Outlook
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (www.bls.gov) rates social work as a profession projected to grow "much faster than average" compared to other professions through the year 2016. Every state in the United States licenses social workers, so this degree will enable you to be marketable in whichever state you may reside after graduation.
