IUROCS HOMEPAGE

INDIANA UNIVERSITY RESOURCE ONLINE COLLECTION (S)
School of Social Work

PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES

Indiana University Resource Online Collection (IUROCs) for the School of Social Work is dedicated to providing an environment to support, share and enhance Social Work Education through the collective exchange of electronic and multimedia creations.

Indiana University Resource Online Collection is accessible to all Indiana University School of Social Work Faculty who wish to participate and utilize IUROCs.  IUROCs is located on the IUSSW server.  The materials/resources on the IUROCs drive are centrally deposited and universally accessed (available to anyone with access to the IUROCs drive).

All materials located in the IUROCs drive have been assigned a Level Number and this level number is indicated in the File Name, for example, Cultural Competency Assessment_2.  The level system indicates the guidelines for use of the resource/material.

The IUROCs LEVEL system is:

Level 1:  The item can be used/changed without limitations

Level 2:  The item can be changed with the creator’s/author’s “original work” being cited/referenced.

Level 3:  The item can be used but not changed in anyway and the creator’s/author’s work must be cited

Level 4:  The item cannot be used without permission from the creator/author or can be used for information purposes only

Active participation in IUROCs  also means you have to “contribute to the cause” and share some of your electronic resources/files, so that they can be accessed (according to the level of sharing you decide) by the other members of the IUROCs collective.  Resources/materials may be shared by e-mailing the file in an attachment to the central coordinator.  Please indicate at what “level” you would like the materials to be available to faculty and the course or topic folders that the item should be located.

IUROCs membership also means you conduct yourself as an ethical social work scholar and only use material posted to this site as the creator/author requests (based on the level assigned to the resource), with proper attribution to others when appropriate.

NOTICE:
IUROCS is a passworded-access resource for the Indiana University School of Social Work.  It contains copyrighted materials that are NOT intended for public access.  Use is solely extended to authroized faculty and staff for the school.

These resources are provided to:

  • help new faculty find resources for courses
  • prevent overlaps in the curriculum
  • reduce redundancies in classes
