Legislative Charges:

Review Indiana's public and private family services delivery system for children at risk of abuse or neglect and for children who have been reported as suspected victims of child abuse or neglect.  In carrying out the Commission's responsibilities it shall consider pertinent studies on children at risk of abuse or neglect and on abused or neglected children and their families.

Issues to Consider:

• Initially look at the Child and Family Services Review done by the Feds
• Evaluate Needs Assessments already done by United Way or other sources in the state
• Review any legal issues regarding lack of services
• Report unmet needs that are discovered
• Form recommendations and submit a written report to the full Commission by March 30
