Legislative Charges:
Review current best practices standards for the provision of child and family services. In carrying out the Commission's responsibilities, it shall consider pertinent studies on children at risk of abuse or neglect and on abused or neglected children and their families.
Issues to Consider:
- What does research say about Best Practices in the areas of Prevention, Intervention, and Aftercare of Child Abuse and Neglect
- Develop examples of Best Practices to be considered in recommendatoins to the Commission
- Report unmet needs that are discovered
- Form recommendations and submit a written report to the full Commission by March 30
