Legislative Charges:
Suggest policy, program, and legislative changes related to services to children at risk of abuse or neglect and to families of abused or neglected children. Suggest enhancement of the quality of these services. Identify potential resources to promote the changes that will enchance these services. In carrying out the Commission's responsibilities, it shall consider pertinent studies on children at risk of abuse or neglect and on abused and neglected children and their famlies.
Issues to Consider:
- Consider the recommendations of Work Groups 1 through 5
- Make further recommendations on a multidisciplinary level
- Involve Legislators to educate them as champions for legislative changes that will be initiated
- Form program and policy recommendations and submit them to the full Commission via written report by April 30
- Define legislative bills needing to be introduced by Mary 30
