Data on foster care, by State, from the Pew Commission
Child Maltreatment 2001 http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cb/publications/cm01/outcover.htm\ This report presents national data about child abuse and neglect known to child protective services agencies in the U.S. during 2001. The data were collected and analyzed through the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System (NCANS) by the Children's Bureau, Administration on Children, Youth, and Families in the Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Statistics are provided on victims, perpetrators, fatalities, and services to children and families. Indiana contributes to the national statistical database through our automated Indiana Child Welfare Information System (ICWIS.)
KIDS COUNT 2003 http://www.aecf.org/kidscount/ KIDS COUNT, a project of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, is a national and state-by-state effort to track the status of children in the U.S. by providing policymakers and citizens with benchmarks of child well-being.
