Public Comments

The Service Delivery subgroup is currently seeking feedback from other commission members and the public at large regarding changes, solutions, probable mechanisms to address the following issues:

1. Obtaining additional resources to adequately fund the Division of Family and Children services for staff, including

§         Improve the quantity and supports of OFC front line staff, supervisors and administrative staff

§         Improve staff training by increasing the number of trainings and time allocated for training of staff

2. Enhanced primary prevention and early interventions strategies throughout the state

3. Review of private dollars used to support child welfares service to enhanced Child Protective Teams to:

§         allow for oversight review by an independent group

§         provide a mechanism for grievances

§         provide quality assurance

4. Develop uniform criteria for standards of care throughout the state

Write to helpkids@iupui.edu to provide feedback to the Commission on Abused and Neglected Children and Their Families any other issues of which you have concerns or recommendations. If possible, let the commissioners know which subgroup you are addressing. The subgroups are
