Call for Papers: Student Assessment in Social Work Education Have you implemented an intriguing project or conducted original research that examines an aspect of student assessment? We need to hear from you! We will be producing a special issue in Spring 2004 on student assessment in social work education:
-
Student assessment is being continuously challenged by new technologies and an ongoing need to demonstrate skill building and competence.
-
Technological innovations such as on-line courses and electronic formats for course presentation must defend their effectiveness.
-
Variations in delivery such as part-time, evening, weekend, and day programs must lead to comparable outcomes.
-
The ultimate educational outcome, the BSW, MSW, or PhD degree, must be linked to what our clients and agencies really need.
Manuscripts should be no longer than 20 pages, APA format, and in Word for Windows (PC version). Manuscripts that are empirically based and reflect innovative approaches to student assessment are preferred.
Manuscripts or inquiries should be sent to: Robert Vernon Indiana University School of Social Work Education/Social Work Building 902 West New York Street Indianapolis, IN 46202-5156 Office: 317-274-6717 Fax: 317-274-8630 rvernon@iupui.edu
