Area of Interest:

Dr. Carol Hostetter joined the faculty in 2001, after teaching part-time for many years. Her clinical experience dates back to 1977 at which time she earned her MSW. She teaches undergraduate research, practice, groups, and the doctoral pedagogy class. Her research interests are in the education and training needs of child welfare workers and attitudes about poverty. Dr. Hostetter is also involved in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, at micro, mezzo, macro and mega levels. Studying the effectiveness of high-impact practices, particularly engaging undergraduates in research, is a primary passion.
