School of Social Work faculty represent the School at annual Research Day

The School of Social Work faculty presented posters at the 2012 IUPUI Research Day that touched on the topics of teaching, health reform and assessing the needs of child welfare. The event was held April 13 at the IUPUI Campus Center.

Dr. Carol Hostetter presented a poster depicting “The Effects of Real-World Research on Students’ Learning: Team-based and project-based Learning.”

Dr. Betty Walton developed a poster with PhD students Matthew Moore and Tanya Merritt-Mulamba on “Integrated Cross System Framework: Assessing Needs of Child Welfare-involved Youth and Families.

Heather McCabe, JD, MSW, presented a poster on health care reform entitled, “It’s all about implementation: How health report’s implementation details will impact persons with disabilities and chronic conditions.”

The annual Research Day presentations were begun as a way to let faculty know about research taking place across the campus and as a way for researchers to find potential collaborators.
