School of Social Work faculty honored at convocation

The School of Social Work faculty received awards for mentoring and multicultural teaching, while others were honored for their accomplishments. School of Social Work student Alida Jo Goffinski, received the Chancellor’s Scholar award at the 2012 Chancellor’ Academic Honors Convocation held April 19 on the IUPUI campus.

Among those receiving awards at the 2012 Chancellor’s Academic Honors Convocation were: Dr. Khadija Khaja, who received the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Multicultural Teaching; Dr. Irene Queiro-Tajalli, who received the Alvin S. Bynum Award for Excellence in Academic Mentoring; School of Social Work Dean Michael Patchner; Alida Jo Goffinski, the School of Social Work’s Chancellor's Scholar and Dr. Margaret Adamek, who was recognized for receiving a Fullbright Award. Others receiving recognition, but not shown, are Drs. Stephanie Boys and Carol Hostetter, received the School of Social Work’s Trustee Teaching Awards.
