About
I began my career in criminal justice in 2006 and served as a Probation Officer, Community Corrections Coordinator, Marion County Work Release Coordinator, then moved into Clinical Social Work for the Public Defender's Agency. After, 16 years in criminal justice social work, I moved to medical social work. For 2 years, I served the IU School of Medicine in a clinical setting specializing in children and young adults with conditions of childhood such as Down Syndrome, Autism, Intellectual Disability, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy and many more. During that time, I also served as adjunct faculty for IU School of Social Work where I fostered my passion for working with students and regaining a sense of community within the school.
