Andrew earned an MSW from Western Kentucky University in 2011. He has practiced in gerontology, palliative care, mental health, and administration. Andrew began teaching full-time in 2013 at Northwestern State University (Louisiana) as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. Andrew has primarily taught research, practice evaluation, statistics, practice with groups and families, and personal development. Andrew moved from Louisiana to Indianapolis with his family to begin working on his Ph.D. full-time in 2017 at the Indiana University School of Social Work. He has taught practice and research courses for both the face-to-face and online IUSSW MSW programs. Current areas of interest are racial and intersectional identity development for White individuals, shame and guilt, transformational learning theory, online pedagogy, and program evaluation.
