About

Jennifer Hammond is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving as the Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor of Field Education and Coordination for the Master of Social Work program at Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW) on the Bloomington campus. Teaching assignments include S481/482 BSW Field Practicum, Generalist Social Work Practice II: Theory and Skills, S651/652 MSW Field Practicum. She has served as a Field Instructor, supporting BSW and MSW students in their practicum placements. Currently, Jennifer serves on the the MSW Committee, Diversity Council, and IU Strategic Plan Working Group: Service to the State and Beyond. Prior to her full-time academic appointment, Jennifer held positions as a clinical Skills Development Coordinator at Milestones, Staff Therapist at Adult and Child, High School Social Worker at Howard Center Child, Youth and Family Services and Program Director at Peace Learning Center. She has extensive experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and schools. Jennifer received her BSW from Ball State University in 1997, along with minors in Women's Studies and Native American Studies. She received her MSW from Indiana University in 2001. Jennifer has served her local community through the Unionville PTO and being a volunteer soccer coach for youth. Jennifer is committed to providing quality field experiences and education to IUSSW students and enhancing community partnerships in Bloomington and its surrounding counties.
