About
Dr. Jayda Monteiro began her career in social work as IV-E BSW Scholar through the IU School of Social Work Indianapolis. After completion of her bachelor's degree in 2012, Dr. Monteiro worked in various positions in child welfare with the Indiana Department of Child Services. Dr. Monteiro earned her master's degree in Social Work through the MSW Direct program at IU School of Social Work Indianapolis in 2016. Dr. Monteiro taught sociology courses through Ivy Tech Community College and served on several community boards prior to pursuing a doctorate in Social Work from University of Southern California. Dr. Monteiro completed the program by successfully defending her capstone regarding the generation effects of emotion dysregulation in 2022. Dr. Monteiro began as a full-time lecturer for the IU School of Social Work in May 2023.
