About
I am a clinically licensed social worker currently fulfilling roles of BSW Field Coordinator and Professor. Historically, I have engaged in direct practice focused on children and families. I have been a therapist for children and families in the community mental health setting. I have also been a social worker in an elementary school serving K-6. Currently, I also see clients aged 6-21 in a private practice setting.

Social workers have a responsibility to partner with agencies that serve vulnerable populations to ensure students practice in social justice settings. To help valued community partners survive difficult times, the recruitment of new agency partners became imperative. This presentation identifies the benefits and challenges of using social media as a recruitment tool for increasing community partnerships and highlights the positive impact of identifying new agencies that varied in geographical location, diversity of client population and services provided, and available student learning opportunities.
