In June 2017 I completed the QPR Suicide Prevention Instructor training at IUSB offered by the Student Counseling Center. This is part of the campus-wide effort to provide the QPR Gatekeeper suicide prevention training to more students, faculty, and staff on campus. And to be a part of the broader national effort to reduce the number of deaths by suicide.

I average attending 4-6 of these an academic year to hear about relevant issues being discussed and decided on regarding our campus.

Provide updates to the broader department team about the status of BSW/MSW recruitment & admissions and issues relevant to advising students.

To be aware of IUSSW changes and policies which are relevant to our SWK students at IUSB.

Give input on department issues, part of the decision process for future plans, assist in the planning of events & orientations, give updates on BSW & MSW recruitment strategies, admissions numbers and issues which are brought to this advisors attention thru student advising sessions.

Participated in the complete process of the search committee for the hiring of the new Student Services Coordinator.
