Practicum Education and Teaching Focus
Leila is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Practicum Education. She prepares MSW students for ethical and culturally responsive practice through experiential learning. Her teaching emphasizes workforce readiness and applied skill development. She supports students in building professional competence.
Her background includes clinical and leadership experience in community mental health and integrated primary care. She focuses on co-occurring mental and physical health needs. Her specialties include substance use disorders, medication-assisted treatment, harm reduction, and perinatal mental health. Her experience informs her teaching and leadership.
Practicum Leadership and Instruction
Leila leads practicum education and workforce preparation initiatives. She develops practicum placements and builds strong community partnerships.
