IU School of Social Work is headquartered on the IUPUI campus with locations on 8 IU Campuses. The school also has the Department of Labor Studies
The Indiana University Policy Field Unit (IU PFU) within the School of Social Work prepares macro-focused students for careers in policy or policy adjacent fields through independent study activities, collective work, and experiential learning opportunities. Student activities over the course of one year translate theory to practice through opportunities to invest as the local, state, and federal level. The design of this practicum placement reflects the imaginative approach of the IU PFU students to envision social work in a variety of arenas, and ultimately to envision a world with more equity, justice, and peace.
