The COVID-19 issue has affected me in many ways. For school, it is my senior year in the Social Work program and I never imagined that my last year of college would end like this. I never thought it would end so soon of not seeing my colleagues and wonderful instructors ever again. It affects my graduation ceremony. My brother who is in the Air Force planned on flying down to see me walk across the stage and we would all celebrate afterward. It affects my practicum. I had to suddenly stop seeing some amazing children at my practicum site and I miss them terribly. It affects my work and community. I work with adults who are differently-abled and they are also trying to adjust to these changes, whereas some are not taking it well. For my community, a lot of businesses and city people have come together and we are all trying to help each other out while following the government and state orders. It greatly affects my family. We planned on visiting some family in Mexico this summer and I am unsure if that will even happen. During this chaotic time in history, it is important to follow orders, stay positive and cherish your time with loved ones at home. ❤️
