Adeniji_DolapoAs Dieter F. Uchtdorf once said “as we lose ourselves in the service of others, we discover our own lives and our own happiness”, so do I believe in the power of helping others. This desire to care for those around me stood out to me during my years in high school and out of my passion to continuously give help to others, I became a social worker.

As a current Ph.D. candidate, I foresee myself researching, teaching, and practicing in the mental health setting in the long run. Currently, I am practicing as a behavior support clinician in an agency as well as conducting research on older immigrants.

As a social worker or as a person if  “somebody needs your care … make yourself available.”
