Jewel Mosley, BSW, MSW, LSW

Jewel Mosley (she/her) is a licensed social worker in the State of Indiana. She received her MSW degree from Indiana University School of Social Work with concentrations in child welfare and leadership. She has over 10 years of professional experience focused in the areas of children, adolescents, and families. In 2016, she transitioned into higher education as a BSW Student Services Coordinator at the Indiana University School of Social Work. In her role as a BSW Student Services Coordinator, she works collaboratively with University College to help students map out their journey to graduation. Jewel also serves as a faculty member in the Inequality and Social Justice Themed Learning Community.

Devina Jani, MSW, LSW

Devina Jani is a licensed social worker (LSW) with over 15 years of experience in the field. She earned her MSW from Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW). Her practice background is in leadership and administrative social work, program development, and design, community organizing and building, non-profit sustainability, and her passion – working with youth from at-risk backgrounds. Devina has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Field Instruction and Coordination for the MSW Direct Program, the Assistant Director of Programs for Prevent Child Abuse Indiana (PCAIN), a Division of The Villages, as a Minority Health Field Consultant at the Indiana Minority Health Coalition (IMHC), and as the Disproportionate Minority Contact Coordinator for the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI). Devina is dedicated to the profession of Social Work and enjoys being a Field Instructor for students from the IUSSW, the University of Indianapolis, and Indiana Wesleyan University. Devina sits on several boards and is involved in an overwhelming number of initiatives pertaining to social justice issues impacting youth and families. Devina’s passion for youth inspired her to establish her own non-profit organization, DJ Center for Youth, Inc.

As mental health continues to be an important issue in public health, learn from different professionals who are working in the field. Learn about different degrees and career paths within the field to understand which option may be the best fit for you. This event will start as a panel with the professionals talking about their career journeys. After the 45-minute panel, attendees will be able to go into breakout rooms with panelists to dive deeper into their questions about these mental health careers. Virgil Gregory Jr., Ph.D, MSCR, MSW, LCSW, LCAC

Dr. Gregory has a history of providing services as a clinical social worker using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) in the treatment of a person who has mood, anxiety, psychotic, and substance use disorders. Dr. Gregory’s research focuses on the evaluation and dissemination of CBT for persons with opioid use disorder, affective disorders, and persons of African descent. Dr. Gregory’s research places emphasis on translation to clinical social work practice. Dr. Gregory’s research currently consists of systematic reviews, meta-analyses, scale development/psychometrics, and clinical trials.

Catina Anderson
Local Office Director
Marion City Department of Child Services – North Office

Catina Anderson received her Bachelor’s Degree in social work at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee and her Master’s Degree at the Indiana University School of Social Work at IUPUI. Catina currently has her License in Social Work and she has a CSAYC credential which stands for Credentialed Sexually Abusive Youth Clinician.

Catina is currently employed as a Local Office Director at the Marion County Department of Child Services (North Office). She is responsible for over 100 staff consisting of clerical, family case managers, supervisors, and division managers. In her work with the Department she has played an active role in Social Justice and Racial Equity within the agency. She currently co-chairs the Hiring and Employee Relations committee which addresses Recruitment, Retention Efforts and Agency Discipline. Catina has worked in the social work field since 1998 and has served in various capacities including residential counselor, foster care caseworker, DCS family case manager, mentor, teacher, DCS supervisor, and her current role as Local Office Director.

Catina’s greatest strength is her passion for helping people which is why she chose the field of Social Work. Catina serves as President of the Central Indiana Association of Black Social Workers (CI-ABSW). She is an active member of both the National Association of Black Social Workers (Central Indiana Chapter) and the National Association of Social Workers-Indiana Chapter. Catina lives in Indianapolis, Indiana. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and attending church.

TJ Brennan

T.J. Brennan has supported the recruitment efforts of the Indiana Department of Child Services since January 2019. Prior to working with DCS, he has five years of recruitment experience in higher education and information technology. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, T.J. has spent the last five years in Indianapolis and recently graduated with his MBA in Human Resources.

Wayne Hawk, MSW

Wayne Hawk received his MSW degree from Indiana University School of Social Work with concentrations in child welfare and leadership. He has over 20 years of professional experience focused in the areas of children, adolescents, and families. He has transitioned into higher education as a faculty member at the Indiana University School of Social Work. Wayne is the BSW Child Welfare Workforce Coordinator and faculty coordinator/advisor for the Child Abuse and Neglect Certificate program. He works collaboratively with the Child Welfare Education and Training Partnership to manage the Preparing for Success program that supports newly hired Department of Child Services Family Case Managers across the State of Indiana.

My name is Yashika Stuckey and I am currently a supervisor with the Department of Child Services. I have been with DCS for almost 5 years. I am also pursuing my MSW with a focus area of Child Welfare at IUPUI; I graduate in May of 2021. Overall, I am passionate about working with children and helping their families. I strive to provide them with the necessary services to promote safety, stability, and permanency which is why I am still with The DCS.

Social workers are the nation’s largest group of mental health services providers, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Come to explore social work as a career path towards becoming a master’s level clinical practitioner. In addition, you will learn about Indiana University’s Master in Social Work (MSW) degree, including admission requirements and enrollment options. All academic majors are welcome to attend.

Stacey Kalima, MA, MAED, LCSW

Stacey Kalima currently serves as the Director of Recruitment (statewide) for the Indiana University School of Social Work. Stacey pursued her undergraduate studies at Indiana University Bloomington via the 21st Century Scholars program. She graduated in 2006 with a BA in Psychology and Sociology (with Honors) and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management. She went on to obtain her Master of Arts Degree in Social Service Administration from The University of Chicago. Stacey attended U of C on a full-ride scholarship via the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. Stacey has served in several roles in the community including a mental health therapist, program coordinator for a domestic violence agency, as well as an instructor and academic advisor. Stacey is currently pursuing a doctoral degree (EdD) at the Indiana University School of Education with a concentration in Higher Education and Student affairs.
