We are committed to and adhere to biblical teachings.
Service area: We proudly serve all of Indiana’s 92 counties.
Why Lifeline feels it is important/beneficial to partner with IUSSW for practicum students:
IUSSW is a wonderful partner for Lifeline. They care about their students, community, and curriculum. We have had the opportunity to meet with various field coordinators and professors to understand what students are looking for in a practicum experience and we believe our internship program is a great fit for student needs. We have partnered with the school in receiving and selecting students who are passionate about kids and families, knowledgeable about theories and interventions related to our client’s needs, and willing to positively contribute to the agency not only through direct impact in working with clients but also through special projects and training that help our families and staff members statewide. We’ve consistently hosted students who are empathetic, highly motivated, driven to help their clients be successful, and motivated to learn. These qualities are what we look for in both placing students and in hiring them post-graduation.
IUSSW students come with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds. Each student has unique qualities that add value to their local teams and clients. IUSSW is a large school with students in many different locations. Their distribution of programs and the distributed nature of our services across the state are a good fit as we have opportunities in even rural areas that students may traditionally have difficulty finding placements in. The curriculum is consistent across locations so we know what the students are learning and how they can apply what they learn in the field.
