In acknowledgment of Black History Month, the Diversity Committee of the IU School of Social Work celebrates the contributions and influences that people from Black communities have on the United States’ history, culture, and achievements in our nation and the world. We embrace our diversity, celebrate our commonality, and give honor and thanks to all people and communities who create the vibrant and multi-faceted fabric of this school and country. This month, we are especially honored to join others in pausing, reflecting, and celebrating the many wonderful ways the members of our Black communities contribute to the richness of our heritage.

Indiana University is committed to creating environments in which all students, faculty, and staff feel welcome. To learn more about celebrations at Indiana University for Black History Month.
