Lecturer – Bloomington Campus

The IUSSW is a university-wide system school with CSWE-accredited MSW and BSW Programs since 1923 and 1975 respectively. The School is headquartered at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), with programs on seven IU campuses. The School’s annual enrollment totals around 1,700 students across all programs (PhD, MSW, BSW) and campuses. This position is on the Bloomington campus, the University’s flagship residential campus. Founded in 1820, IU Bloomington is located an hour south of Indianapolis and is one of the country’s most beautiful college campuses. With over 33,000 undergraduate students and more than 10,000 students in graduate and professional programs, the campus has 17 colleges and schools comprising over 550 degree-granting academic programs. Social Work and three other health science disciplines recently moved into the new Regional Academic Health Center, an effort that aims to support the preparation of students to provide interprofessional team-based care.

Academic Advisor (Student Services Coordinator & Recruitment Specialist) – IUPUI Campus

The priority application date is April 30. 

The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for providing student information and services throughout students’ programs of study. These duties include responding to potential students’ inquiries and assisting with the admissions process. Duties also include advising potential students who have questions prior to the submission of applications to the BSW and/or MSW Program through graduation from the respective program. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for planning, developing, and carrying out a variety of recruitment services that are focused in the local area. The incumbent will work closely with the respective Program Director(s) and the statewide Director of Recruitment to carry out student services and recruitment activities.

Student Programming Coordinator (Senior Administrative Secretary, Field Education) – IUPUI Campus

The application deadline is May 6.

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Administrative Secretary for Field Education for the Indiana University School of Social Work are to provide support to the field program on the IUPUI campus. This person will work with the Director of Field Education, all MSW Field Instruction Coordinators at IUPUI, and the IUPUI MSW Program Directors. Field placement functions include updating the network of databases, processing MSW student placement information, preparing materials for orientations and trainings, liaison assignments for both BSW and MSW programs, updating MSW student files with required documentation for practicum completion, and communicating field information to students, faculty, and social work professionals. This position reports to the statewide Director of Field Education.

Office of e-Social Work Internship – Accessibility Analyst (2 Positions Available)

  • Approximate hours a week: 10 hours
  • Start Date: Summer 2021 or Fall 2021

Must be work-study eligible

Assist the Office of e-Social Work Education & Practice in ensuring the accessibility of external online course resources. Various responsibilities include transcribing electronic PDFs into accessible Word documents, formatting Microsoft Word and Powerpoint documents for accessibility, and editing multimedia captioning in Kaltura MediaSpace.
