Community Partner Spotlight: IARCA Has Made a Commitment to Service
IARCA (Indiana Association of Resources and Child Advocacy) has made a commitment to service by bringing together a diverse group of providers into a cohesive organization, committed to the provision of quality services so that these children and families may lead healthy and productive lives in IARCA communities. IARCA represents approximately 100 member agencies in Indiana providing a broad array of services, including residential care, foster care, transitional/independent living, home-based services, shelter care, and crisis stabilization. IARCA member agencies continually reflect their dedication and support to children and family services through their ongoing participation in IARCA-sponsored activities.
The IARCA partnership with IUSSW highly benefits member agencies as it provides an extended network of social work professionals as well as provides a pool of highly qualified practicum candidates for member agencies interested in placement thus building lasting relationships that can ultimately aid with the hiring and retention of talented professionals. Moreover, IARCA loves helping students and alumni learn more about careers in child and family welfare and opportunities in every region in the state.
IARCA employees are central to IARCA’s ability to carry out its mission. A social worker perspective brings about a solution focused mindset to IARCA, therefore, promoting positive change while enhancing relationships and communities. One of the ways IARCA offers help is by providing training to the state’s child and family welfare workforce. IARCA members and other agencies send staff to IARCA training because of IARCA’s founding principle that children and families deserve to be served by skilled, knowledgeable, and prepared professionals.
