Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis (BGCI)is a youth development organization that provides out-of-school time programs and activities for youth in underserved communities throughout the city.  As reflected in our organizational mission statement, Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis believes that every child deserves to live a life filled with hope and opportunity.  Because we care about our young people, we provide a safe, positive, and educational atmosphere where they can prosper and reach their full potential.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis provides programs and activities focused on three primary outcome areas:  Academic Success, Health Lifestyles, and Character & Leadership Development.   Programs are often offered in age- or gender-specific groups but may also be needs or interest based.  Many of the programs provided are evidence-based, and utilize curriculum created by Boys & Girls Clubs of America.  Examples of these programs include SMART MOVES (substance use disorder prevention), Money Matters (financial literacy), Healthy Habits (nutrition education), Triple Play (sports and fitness), Project Learn (academic enrichment), Diplomas to Degrees (College Readiness), workforce readiness, arts, and many others.  Traditional Boys & Girls Club programs are offered to school-age youth between the ages of 5-18.  Programs are provided Monday through Friday during after school hours until 9:00 p.m. during the school year, and from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. during school breaks and summer.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis also manages an AmeriCorps program, engaging nearly 50 stipend volunteers each year in full- and part-time positions.  AmeriCorps members provide direct service to youth related to academic enrichment and leadership development programs and activities.
