About the Program #
The IU School of Social Work Tuition Assistance Program was established to assist eligible out-of-state students who are not automatically covered by the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP). The Tuition Assistance program limits out-of-state students’ tuition at IU to 150% of in-state tuition.
Eligibility Requirements #
- Applicant must be accepted into one of the IU School of Social Work in-person MSW programs.
- Applicant must have attained a GPA of 3.25 or higher in their baccalaureate program.
- Applicant must reside in a state outside of Indiana that is not participating in the MSEP.
Notes #
- If an applicant does not meet the minimum baccalaureate GPA requirement, he/she can reapply for the scholarship after completing first semester MSW courses, if student has attained a minimum 3.25 GPA.
- Any IUB MSW student who has out-of-state residency and meets the criteria is eligible to apply to the IUSSW Tuition Assistance Program.
- The following IUSSW MSW programs participate in the Tuition Assistance program: IUI, IU Bloomington, IU Fort Wayne, IU Southeast & IU South Bend.
