Prepare for the next step in your career with IU’s nationally ranked Master of Social Work program. With our clinical and community practice curriculum, you’ll learn broad knowledge to work across social work’s continuum and be licensed for both micro- and macro-level practice. Offered at seven IU campuses and an online program, the MSW program features specialized focus areas at each campus and customized practicum experiences with a wide variety of community service organizations.

A graduate program that works for you #

Sometimes life takes the unexpected turn. That’s why we’ve structured our program to be flexible in meeting student needs. You have up to six years to complete the full degree program. And with all MSW courses offered every term, it’s easy to resume your studies after a pause. IU BSW graduates who enter the program with advanced standing can finish their MSW degree in just 12 months.
