Jeffry W. Thigpen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Indiana University, a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Work from the University of Chicago's Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice (formerly the School of Social Service Administration).

Research Interests

Dr. Thigpen's primary research interests include normative sexual behavior in pre-adolescent children and familial influences on children's sexual development.

Teaching Interests

Dr. Thigpen's teaching interests include human behavior theory, research, and social work practice at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
