Encore Presentation: Play Therapy and Early Childhood Trauma

This training will cover the unique impact of early childhood trauma, including how it impacts neurodevelopment and what differentiates it from trauma experienced later in life, and will cover the basics of child-centered play therapy with a focus on how it can be used effectively to treat the symptoms of early childhood trauma.

Presented By:

Amanda Wyatt, MSW, LCSW, RPT™ is a proud alumnus of the IU School of Social Work with a background working in community mental health with young children and their families that have been impacted by trauma. She is a Registered Play Therapist™ and is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Amanda is a Lecturer with the IUSSW on the Fort Wayne campus and continues her play therapy practice in the community mental health setting.
