After Admission
Create your IU account #
It’s time to set up your first IU account. It takes 24 hours for it to activate. If you’re wondering whether you already have an account, look up your university ID. If you previously created an account with any IU campus, you don’t need to create a new one. For more help, call 317-274-HELP.
Register for your classes #
After you set up your technology account, register for classes. Doing so quickly will ensure you have the broadest selection of courses. Check out semester calendar when you can first register.
Deadline: As soon as possible.

For the online program and locations at IU Southeast, IU Fort Wayne, and Lafayette use IU Indianapolis.
Register for classes
Register for classes that are in the first semester in your degree map.
Use the Student Center for class search, shopping cart, drop classes, and swap classes to adjust your schedule during the self-service period. Your can view your grades, unofficial transcript, class schedule, class permissions, financial aid, registration holds, and enrollment date/time.
For the online program select SWK-D at IU Indianapolis. Locations at IU Southeast, IU Fort Wayne, and Lafayette use IU Indianapolis and look under class notes for your location.
Apply for financial aid #
Now that you’ve been admitted to IU, start arranging to cover your costs for your education. For questions, send an email to: swkaid@iu.edu

Campus housing is in high demand. Housing assignments are made in July.
