2024 Advocate for Equity in Accessibility Award Winner: Samantha Wolfe-Taylor

Dr. Wolfe-Taylor won the Advocate for Equity in Accessibility Award for her work in creating accessible and equitable distance education practice education opportunities through the e-OSCE, telehealth practice education, and course design work.

As a disabled person, I faced obstacles and challenges while trying to complete my own college education. I hid from most my need for educational supports or that I took a temporary leave from my PhD studies to care for my disabilities and medical needs. Now being a faculty member, I hope to ensure that students with disabilities remain at the forefront of the educational innovations and services that we offer. I want students to know that all abilities are welcomed and needed, at all levels, in the field of social work.
