Gratitude Support Group - 8 week series
Although most people believe that it’s important to be grateful, practicing gratitude consistently is considerably harder for many of us. The Gratitude Group Program was developed by Dr. Joel Wong, an IU Bloomington School of Education professor of counseling psychology, to address the how of gratitude – practical strategies to cultivate gratitude in our lives. Group activities include brief lectures, experiential activities, group sharing, and journaling. Homework includes daily gratitude journaling.
Guidelines for participation:
- Open to IU employees.
- Commit to attending all 8 group sessions.
- Commit to daily gratitude journaling homework.
Facilitated by Dr. Joel Wong, IUB School of Education professor of counseling psychology.
8-week series on Tuesdays: September 19, 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, November 7, 14
Eligibility: IU employees, their spouses on an IU-sponsored medical plan, and populations listed here.
