Overdose Lifeline: Naloxone training
This comprehensive training session is designed to address the escalating issue of drug overdoses in Indiana by equipping participants with essential knowledge and practical skills. Attendees will gain a thorough understanding of overdose rates and trends within the state, learn to recognize the vital signs of an overdose, and receive hands-on instruction on administering Naloxone. Additionally, participants will engage in assembling Narcan Kits, a critical resource in overdose prevention and response. Last year, a dedicated team of 12 assembled over 1500 kits, and with an expected attendance of at least 27 this year, we aim to significantly increase our impact and preparedness in the community. This training is a crucial step in empowering individuals to act swiftly and effectively in overdose situations, ultimately saving lives and fostering a safer community.
