Naloxone Training

Why should you get trained?
Nearly 75% of drug overdose deaths in 2020 involved an opioid (Hedegaard et al., 2021).
In almost half of overdose deaths, someone else was present. Having and knowing how to use naloxone allows bystanders to help a person avoid a fatal overdose (O’Donnell et al., 2020).
Naloxone is a safe, over-the-counter, FDA-approved medicine that can save a life in the event of an opioid overdose (National Institute on Drug Abuse [NIDA], 2022).
Anyone can get trained. No previous medical training required!
