Karen lives with her husband and four children in New Castle, Indiana. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University with majors of psychology and criminal justice & criminology. She received her MSW from the IUSSW through the IV-E Scholars program. Karen was employed by the State of Indiana for 20 years prior to her current role at IUSSW.
Karen is primarily interested in the areas of field education, child welfare, and organizational leadership.
Karen has served in child welfare for over 14 years. She has served as a Family Case Manager, Family Case Manager Supervisor, and Local Office Director to the Department of Child Services.
