Barbara Pierce, Ph.D., MSS, MLSP, LCSW
Associate Professor
Dr. Barbara Pierce earned her B.S from St. Joseph’s University (Philadelphia), M.S.S. and M.L.S.P. from Bryn Mawr College, and Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University. Her areas of research interest include child welfare workforce issues, trauma education, teaching and learning, and rural social work. Dr. Pierce teaches graduate courses in child welfare and trauma, and theory, and community engaged participatory action research. She is the PI for multiple grants and is an active program evaluator. Dr. Pierce is a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar Fellow and a previous recipient of the Charles R. Bantz Community Engaged Fellowship.
